In a fascinating move, the defending IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) became the first-ever team to name three stars in the Gemini Constellation after their victorious IPL runs. (More Cricket News)

The Knight Riders took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce that they have named Korbo (2012), Lorbo (2014), and Jeetbo (2024) as the three stars.

The three stars have been registered with dates that KKR won three of their IPL titles: 27 May 2012, 1 June 2014, and 26 May 2024, and with all three dates falling under the Gemini Zodiac, the stars were picked around the Gemini constellation.

“We've just registered three actual stars around the Gemini constellation, which are now officially named after our title wins in 2012 (Korbo), 2014 (Lorbo) and 2024 (Jeetbo),” the franchise said. 

“The stars have been registered by the date that we won each of the three titles - 27/05/2012 | 1/6/2014 | 26/5/2024. All three stars have been picked from around the Gemini constellation since all three dates fall under the Gemini Zodiac,” it added. 

The franchise’s achievements go beyond India, where the Trinbago Knight Riders have won the Caribbean Premier League four times in ten years since the KKR management took over.

The Knight Riders are the only franchise apart from Delhi Capitals who have not yet named their captain for the upcoming IPL 2025 seasonmuitobet, which gets underway from March 22, with KKR facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the season opener.
