Chasing Hong Kong's 101-run target, Nepal could only muster 98 runs for the loss of seven wickets, with captain Indu Barma (32 off 33 balls) waging a lone resistance. For the victors, Mariko Hill produced an all-round performance, scoring 21 off 26, snaring two wickets for 21 runs in four overs and also taking two catches. She was hence named the Player of the Match.

Earlier in the day, Uganda beat Namibia by one run in a thrilling match 5 of the tournament. Janet Mbabazi's side limited Namibia to 70 runs, in response to their 71-run total.
